Security Surveys and Risk Assessments

Identifying and assessing vulnerabilities so as to achieve an effective and proportionate response

Meeting your objectives

Understanding the risks that your organisation faces and what constitutes an appropriate response, in terms of cost versus benefits, is the cornerstone of any effective security strategy.

Perpetuity can help you identify and manage all aspects of your risks, so that you maximise the effectiveness of your security measures while avoiding an investment in equipment and services that will not bring significant improvements to performance. Also, we can take an objective look at your current solutions and provide innovative new techniques which could save money.

Ways we can help

We offer a fully comprehensive service, right from analysing risks and the effectiveness of current security practices, to developing evidence-based security strategies and providing advice on security equipment, services and training. Our areas of expertise include:

Assessment of the current situation

  • Risk analysis – assessing current risk levels and what individual loss events might occur
  • Security survey – establishing whether there are any problems with or gaps in current measures. This could be broad-ranging looking at all security equipment and operating procedures. Alternatively, it could focus on one area such as the protection of information or the potential for fraud
  • Cost/benefit analysis – analysing the level of vulnerability across the board, likelihood of a particular loss event and what the loss might be worth in relation to the cost of any possible solutions

Security Surveys

Ensuring an appropriate response

  • Reporting on findings – providing a detailed report including, where required, recommendations on issues including access control, lighting, CCTV, alarms, manned security, operational procedures, protection of staff, information security and training
  • Security strategy – evaluating and making recommendations to improve it, providing a new strategy if required
  • Documentation – writing security policy and procedures
  • Crisis management – developing crisis and contingency plans in relation to extreme and unusual risks

The Perpetuity Promise

Our consultants have extensive security management experience including all aspects of physical, electronic and manned security. We will always act with your best interests at heart taking account of your needs and resources.
